Scientific Accuracies in the Bible

" There are dozens of passages in the Bible which demonstrate tremendous scientific foreknowledge....When the Biblical text is carefully examined the reader will quickly discover an uncanny scientific accuracy unparalleled by any document of antiquity...the Bible does describe scientific phenomena in common terminology with unmikstakable clarity...In virtually all ancient religious documents it is common to find scientifically inaccurate myths about the nature of the universe and life... any review of ancient mythololgy will readily confirm this statement.  However, the Bible is unique because of the conspicuous  absence of such myths.  In fact, throughout the Bible we find scientifically accurate concepts about the physical universe that were not "discovered" by modern scientists until very recent times."--Mark Eastman, M.D.

1. The spherical shape of the earth (Isaiah 40:22).

2. The earth is suspended in nothing (Job. 26:7)

3. The stars are innumerable (Gen. 15:5).

4. The existence of valleys in the seas (2 Sam. 22:16)

5. The existence of springs and fountains in the sea (Gen.7:11; 8:2; Prov. 8:28).

6. The existence of water paths(ocean currents) in the seas (Psalm 8:8).

7. The water cycle  (Job. 26:8; 36:27-28; 37:16; 38:25-27; Ps. 135:7; Ecc. 1:6-7).

8. The fact that all living things reproduce after their own kind (Gen. 1:21; 6:19).

9. The concept of entropy, that energy is running down (Psalm 102:26).                           Mount Sinai -  And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD, {JEHOVAH} and rose up early in the morning, and build an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.
.......EXODUS 24:4
On arrival at the site Ron Wyatt ,archaeologist, found that the peak of the mountain had been burnt with such a severe heat that the granite rock had been turned to obsidium (burnt rock turned to volcanic glass). The Saudi team of scientists & archaeologists have said they cannot locate where the source of heat had come from...They conculded that at one time it was about fifty meters [above] the peak. ->Then you came near and stood at the foot of the mountain, and the {mountain burned with fire} to the midst of heaven, with darkness, cloud, and thick darkness. And the LORD{Jehovah}spoke to you out of the midst of the fire. (Deut. 4:11-12.                       Could this burnt, blackened peak be the remnants of God's own presence?

There were found at least 10 pieces of broken round columns almost 23 inches in diameter. In addition, there were a large number of rectangular marble stones 8 1/4 inches by 16 ½ inches, from 10 to 26 inches long. These pieces were found around the altar, while others lay scattered at a greater distance.

 Golden calf Altar below

{An archaeologist from Riyadh University} became very excited when he saw calves etched in the Altar, he pointed out that they were of Egyptian style, and were not to be found anywhere else in Saudi Arabia. The account tells of Moses' anger on seeing the idolatry of the Israelites, and how he melted down the golden calf that they were worshipping. Ron & his team found  gold dust inside the altar.

Also, in the area, Ron & his team found the twelve wells at Elim mentioned in [Exodus 15:27,] the stone altar mentioned in [Exodus 20:24,] the altar that Moses built and dedicated to, "Jehovah-Nissi" in [Exodus 17:15.] He found a broken section of a grinding stone or millstone. The Bible says the Israelites gathered and ground manna in mills, Numbers 11:8. The twelve pillars of stone and the altar mentioned in Exodus 24:4 were also located and several items of pottery, (Leviticus 6:28, 11:33, 15:12). [Exodus 32:5] tells the account of Aaron building an altar to the golden calf, and Ron found an altar with twelve Egyptian style petraglyphs of calves.

The Altar

About 200 yards from the rock at Horeb, pictured below, is an altar constructed of stones.

Then he [pharoh] called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, “Rise, go out from among my people, both you and the children of Israel. And go, serve the LORD as you have said. Also take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone; and bless me also.”
And the Egyptians
urged the Israelites, that they might send them out of the land quickly. For they said, “We shall all be dead.” So the people took their dough before it was leavened, having their kneading bowls bound up in their clothes on their shoulders.~Exodus12:31-34 NKJV~...........~ A mixed multitude went up with them also, and flocks and herds—a great deal of livestock. 39 And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they had brought out of Egypt; for it was not leavened, because they were driven out of Egypt and could not wait, nor had they prepared provisions for themselves. ~ Exodus 12: 38-39~

Here we see a massive split boulder, sixty feet high, forty feet wide, and twenty feet deep, sitting on top of a rocky hill. Upon closer investigation Saudi scientists identified clear evidence of water erosion, quite a surprise considering this rock islocated in a dry desert.

The split in the Rock where water came out
This rock is split through the middle and displays a pattern of water erosion.

Does the Bible mention such a rock?

"Behold I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink." Ex. 17:6. Moses had led the people accross the desert to Mount Sinai. They were now complaining because they had no water. It was for this reason that God commanded Moses to strike this rock, that God could manifest His power to perform miracles, and cause water to flow from this rock.

Currently due to restricted access to the site by the government further archaeological study has prompted researching other areas that too could be where the Israelites built their altars to a false god and Moses recieved the 10 commandments...However, at the current moment this site produces the best evidence: UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
