 7. Prophecy: The Messiah would be preceeded by a messenger:   Malachi 3:1 (OT) See I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way for me."  Then suddenly the Lord{Adonai} you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come," says the LORD Almighty{El Shaddai.}

Additional (OT) Isaiah 40:3-4 & 6-11 A voice of one calling:     ["In the wilderness prepare the way for the LORD{Jehovah}; make straight in the desert a highway for our God."] Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain." And the glory of the LORD {Jehovah}will be revealed, and all people will see it together. For the mouth of the LORD{Jehovah} has spoken." ……………You who bring good news to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah, "Here is your God!" See, the Sovereign LORD {Jehovah}comes with power, and his arm rules for him. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him. He tends his flock like a shepherd: (40:11) the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young He gathers.                                                                                                                                                                                                                            {New Testament fulfillment} (Matthew 3:1-2) says:
In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the Desert of Judea, and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.  -> Additional—NT Luke 3:3-6 And he came into all the district around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins; as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, "The voice of one crying in the wilderness, `Make ready the way of the Lord {Yeshua}, make His paths straight. `Every ravine shall be filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall become straight, and the rough roads smooth; and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.

>>>>Related to Isaiah 40:11 from JOHN 10:7-11 Therefore Jesus{Yehsua} said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them.  I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep."<<<<
