"Have this mind in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, existing in the form of God, counted not the being on an equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men; and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient even unto death, yea, the death of the cross. Wherefore also God highly exalted him, and gave unto him the name which is above every name; that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things on earth and things under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. " Phil 2: 5-11ASV

He came
The tongue that called forth the dead was a human one. The hand that touched the leper had dirt under its nails. The feet upon which the woman wept were calloused and dusty. And His tears....they came from a heart as broken as yours or mine ever has been. "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses." So people came to him... They reached for Him, invited Him over for dinner, followed Him down the street, brought their children to His feet, some climbed up high to see Him, one woman crawled on the ground between legs, feet, and, dust to touch the HEM of His garment! Why? Because He refused to be an unreachable statue in a cathedral or a priest elevated in a pulpit. He chose instead to be Jesus of Nazareth....among the people.
NOTE: (from me->) Yeshua loves people. He taught openly so that all could hear and join. He was compassionate, (I dare you to look up how many times in the NT Jesus and the word compassionate are paired together.) The only people that were left untouched by His love were those who did not want to experience it; it remains this way even TODAY. He made people smile, He dried tears, lifted up the oppressed, defended the weak, and confounded the arrogant & the "know-it-all's" with His wisdom. Yeshua laughed with people, ate with them, wept with them and on behalf of them, defended those who would be or were being scorned by society....He played with and blessed the children who others saw as a burden and tried to "shoo" away.
He spoke in ways that made people sit in awe at His voice of authority over all circumstances. He was mysterious, nobody could quite pin their finger on what was different....When you find hatred being spread "in the name of Jesus" It is a false representation of HIM and everything He stands for. Not all who say they are "Christian" truly are. How can you tell? Watch behavior, a Christian, will show and eximplify Christ-like behavior in their lives. They will shine like a city on a hill. Jesus never taught or accepted persecution of any kind! He loves everyone even those who fail to love Him in return. His mercy extends to ALL people. The poor, broken-hearted, rich, political, shy, depressed, un-educated, highly educated, & EVERY NATIONALITY! Those who have a deep walk & relationship with the KING OF KINGS often find it difficult to explain to others. For it is truly a one of a kind experience.
~ I am confident through my own walk with Yeshua; I am confident of this one thing. There is nothing on Earth comparable to the relationship between Yeshua and saved child. Not even one syllable could be made perfect enough to describe His majesty, His grace, that has blanketed my life.~ I have found forgivenes in the fullness of all that the word could possbily mean. It seems unnatural to me. Which, I think, is why so many believers guilt themselves and never can truly accept His forgiveness. Because it so cleansing, so overwhelming, so relieving, that it is found NO WHERE else. Forgiveness like that found under the blood of Yeshua is found in NO other place. And He longs to extend it to people, so that they may have freedom.
He Understands
excerpt: Grace for the Moment II: Max Lucado
Jesus was angry enough to overturn tables in the temple, hungry enough to eat raw grain, distraught enough to weep in public, fun loving enough to be called a drunkard, winsome enough to attract kids, weary enough to sleep in a storm-tossed boat, poor enough to sleep on dirt, and borrow a coin for a sermon illustration, tempted enough to know the smell of Satan and fearful enough to sweat blood. Why? Why would He leave the riches and glory of heaven to endure earth's pains and struggles? So YOU would know that "He is able... to run to the cry of... those who are being tempted and tested and tried." Whatever you are facing, He knows how you feel.
When Jesus says, " Come to me, " He doesn't say come to relgion, come to a system, or come to a doctrine. This a personal invitation into a reltionship with God, an invitation to a Savior. Our God is not aloof--He's not so far above that He can't see and understand our problems. Jesus isn't a God who stayed on the mountaintop-- He's a Savior who came down and lived and worked... everywhere He went, the crowds followed. "Come to me, follow me, abide in me and I in you......."

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8
